Chic flick

First impressions count. We first spotted relocated Dingwall lads THE CINEMATICS supporting kindred spirits Snow Patrol at the ABC, where they showed very definite signs of pop star potential.

The Cinematics are one of those bands who clearly won’t be happy until they’re filling stadiums. Our next sighting of them was when they braved the elements at last year’s Belladrum festival in Inverness, where singer Scott Rinning practically outed himself as a vision in leather.

Their lofty ambition has won them admirers, not least the mother of their idol Jeff Buckley after they covered the late singer’s Grace. But look no further than Chase, The Cinematics’ very own nugget of perfection, if you want to make your day that little bit better. Better still, hear it live on Saturday, July 7 when they open the King Tut’s stage at T in the Park.
