There are three essential elements that the perfect Hogmanay band should possess:

Songs you can dance toSongs you can sing along toSongs that are upbeat

It’s a simple equation and the drunks won’t settle for anything less. December 31 is no night for quiet, considered introspection. So in the spirit of the nation’s current obsession for judging entertainment, we’ve decided to mark Scotland’s al fresco Hogmanay 2008 acts with a mark out of 3 for each attribute using the scientific equation above.
