FRIGHTENED RABBIT have named their third album The Winter Of Mixed Drinks.
In an interview with The Pop Cop, frontman Scott Hutchison explained: “We actually had a struggle to name this one. I was going to call it the name of the first single [Swim Until You Can’t See Land] but then I thought I was stressing the point a bit much. Once that was out the window I didn’t really have any other ideas. We only agreed on the name about two weeks ago – it’s a line in one of the songs.”
The band have also recruited a fifth full-time member, Gordon Skene, formerly of Make Model, who will play “a bit of everything”. You can read the full interview with the band on this site next week. The follow-up to The Midnight Organ Fight is due out in March 2010 through FatCat Records. Swim Until You Can’t See Land is released on November 16.
